There were violent storms here yesterday.  We had a tornado touch down about 1/2 mile south.  It was traveling north-east and – we were lucky. The gallery shows the violence of the storm.

The images show the capabilities of my new Panasonic FZ1000. In fact there was a guy there from a local TV station, and he had a camera that compared very poorly to mine.

The FZ1000 has a 20mp 1 inch sensor with a fast 25 to 400mm zoom lens, and can shoot 12 frames per second, or 4K video! Add to that a fully articulated high resolution monitor, 5 function buttons and a quick menu, and more features than most people will ever use, and you have a perfect camera for photojournalism. Just grab it and go!
